Role Overview - Brand Designer

As a Brand Designer at Primer, you will translate brand guidelines into high-quality creative assets across digital, print, and event channels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on-brand campaigns and collateral while owning key brand initiatives, such as website updates, campaign rollouts, and social media content. This role demands creativity, precision, and collaboration to maintain and evolve a consistent brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Translate brand guidelines into creative assets for various channels.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and design teams.
  • Execute key brand initiatives including website and campaign updates.
  • Contribute to evolving and documenting brand systems.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance brand presence.
  • Balance creativity with speed to deliver on-brief assets.
  • Support a consistent brand experience across touchpoints.
  • Help build a design culture focused on craft and clarity.

Qualifications

  • Strong visual design skills in layout, typography, colour theory, and composition.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and motion design tools.
  • Experience in evolving brand systems and translating strategy into creative outcomes.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience in cross-functional teams.
  • Bonus: Motion design, illustration, 3D design skills, and familiarity with digital UX.
  • Experience in finance or regulated industries is a plus.

Interview Process

  • 30 minute call with a Talent Partner.
  • 45 minute interview with the Hiring Manager.
  • Technical interview – take-home task and presentation.
  • 60 minute final values-alignment interview.
