Role Overview

The Senior Staff Platform Engineer works with software engineers to automate and accelerate testing, release, and deployment of applications in a dynamic runtime environment. With background in software engineering, cloud architecture, and full-stack implementations, you will mentor peers, guide cloud strategy, and build automated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable Microsoft Azure-based cloud platform infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Develop automation scripts for resource deployment and configuration.
  • Collaborate with development teams for cloud integration and performance optimization.
  • Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Lead design discussions, mentor junior engineers, and guide cloud strategy.

What You’ll Contribute

You will deliver high quality, highly automated solutions, establish a DevOps center of excellence, and lead critical release management. You are expected to write production code in Go or Python, innovate cloud strategies, and provide technical leadership during on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed applications in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Strong scripting experience in Python or Go.
  • Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform (or similar IaC tools), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proven mentoring and leadership skills.
