Job Description

Program Manager

Presidio, Where Teamwork and Innovation Shape the Future

At Presidio, we’re at the forefront of a global technology revolution, transforming industries through cutting-edge digital solutions and next-generation AI. We empower businesses—and their customers—to achieve more through innovation, automation, and intelligent insights.

The Role

The Program Manager serves as a flexible Program Manager within Presidio’s Portfolio Release & Readiness team, integral to advancing our service offerings and solutions portfolio. The role is responsible for driving high visibility, large-scale, complex programs that span multiple workstreams, technologies, and stakeholder groups. It provides full lifecycle program leadership aligned to standard PMO knowledge areas—including scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and stakeholder management—operating within standardized governance frameworks to deliver measurable outcomes with executive-level transparency.

This role requires a proactive, self-starter mindset, with risk management and dynamic problem-solving abilities, as well as disciplined scope control to respond to executives changing business needs in a timely and effective manner. Strong intellectual curiosity and portfolio awareness are essential, enabling them to anticipate impacts to initiatives and other teams, and translate complex dynamics into structured, results-driven execution with minimal oversight.

Major Responsibilities

Manage assigned programs across all phases of the Solution development lifecycle, from ideation through development, enablement and launch, and ensuring active inspection of targets. The following are key responsibilities organized by knowledge area.

Scope & Schedule Management

  • Define, manage, and control program scope and integrated plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and timely delivery across workstreams.
  • Proactively manage scope and schedule changes, driving rapid course correction to prevent misalignment or uncontrolled expansion.
  • Monitor milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release coordination for technical programs or teams where applicable.

Stakeholder & Risk Management

  • Lead stakeholder communications and reporting aligned to PMO standards, fostering strong relationships (direct or cross practice) that promote accountability and shared ownership of results.
  • Maintain executive-level visibility into program status, risks, financial health, procurement impacts, and performance metrics.
  • Proactively identify and surface program risks, interdependencies, conflicts and downstream impacts early – driving alignment and mitigation before issues materialize.
  • Escalate risks and issues with clarity and context to Presidio leadership, leading resolution efforts to minimize delivery impact.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies while maintaining focus on program objectives.

Quality Management

  • Define program success metrics per Portfolio Tiered requirements and ensure measurable tracking of outcomes against defined objectives.
  • Ensure governance cadences, documentation, and controls align to PMO standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through collecting Lessons Learned and sharing process improvement recommendations to Portfolio Team.

Cost Management

  • For programs with an assigned budget, track and report on financial health and performance against approved budgets, forecasting variances in alignment with portfolio requirements.
  • Ensure cost impacts of scope, schedule, risk, and procurement decisions are clearly understood and communicated to leadership to support informed decision-making.

Technology/Area Of Specialization

Broad understanding of service domains including cloud, security, networking, and collaboration. Strong foundation in agile and traditional project management frameworks. Knowledge of solution development and go-to-market processes. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business contexts.

Required Skills

  • 4–6 years of program or project management experience in technology environments, with a proven track record of successful delivery across dynamic settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge and practical application of project management frameworks (PMI/PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) across diverse technology domains; PMP, Agile, or similar certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint); familiarity with Smartsheet, Trello, Teamwork, and Zoho is a plus.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills and demonstrated ability to influence across organizational levels.

Competencies Required

  • Adaptability in Ambiguity
  • Operational discipline & governance
  • Learning agility
  • Collaborative Cross-Functional & Executive Influence
  • Effective Communication
  • Problem Solving & Structured Thinking
  • Self-Management
  • Ownership & Accountability
  • Outcome-driven execution
