About the User Experience Content Intern Role at Premier Inc.

As a User Experience Content Intern at Premier Inc., you will collaborate with industry experts and leverage leading tools to develop member-centric Online Help and Knowledge Base documentation. This content is crucial for supporting member utilization, fostering adoption, and enhancing comprehension of Premier Solutions.

This Internship Will Enable You To:

  • Enhance and clarify the One Premier brand experience for both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Meet with course Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), content owners, and product directors to identify specific needs and priorities.
  • Develop and deploy relevant content tailored to project requirements and target audiences.
  • Review and edit content to ensure brand application, clear articulation of meaning, and accurate process documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will primarily focus on content creation, supported by contributions to standards/strategy and project management.

Content Creation (80%)

  • Review and meticulously edit existing Knowledge Base content.
  • Publish Knowledge Base content to Salesforce and other designated output platforms.
  • Create still images and various other content types for inclusion in solution documentation.
  • Manage projects within MadCap Flare, adhering to best practice guidelines for organization and file naming conventions.

Standards / Strategy (10%)

  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of media standards for internal team reference.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the integrity of solutions is maintained, including the composition of mockups/prototypes.

Project Management (10%)

  • Facilitate meetings with content SMEs and content owners, and collaborate with content team members to identify critical needs and priorities.
  • Manage project milestones, deadlines, and schedules for assigned projects, ensuring teams are regularly updated on progress and decisions from concept through completion.
  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, consistently meeting given deadlines.

Required Qualifications

Work Experience
  • 0 or more years of applicable experience.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required).

Preferred Qualifications

Skills
  • Proficiency with MadCap Flare or similar Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Experience in content design and workflow management.
  • Clear articulation and professional proficiency in English, with strong writing abilities.
Experience
  • Working knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • Familiarity with Techsmith SnagIt.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
  • Currently enrolled in a technical writing, creative, or educational degree program focused on content development through a CMS or content creation/editing with a solution like MadCap Flare.

Working Conditions & Benefits

This is a remote position with no travel required. The work is largely sedentary.

Premier offers a competitive internal salary range for this role from $52,000 - $78,000, with final compensation dependent on market factors, education, skills, and geographic location. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401k retirement program, paid time off, participation in incentive plans, and tuition reimbursement.
