Corporate Counsel I - Privacy & AI Opportunity at Premier Inc.
Working under the direction of the Chief Privacy Officer, the Corporate Counsel I - Privacy & AI supports Premier’s regulatory compliance with U.S. privacy and AI regulations, with secondary responsibility for key E.U. frameworks as applicable. This role serves as a primary point of contact for practical, risk-based regulatory advice on the use of personal information and AI governance across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus (90%): Support compliance with U.S. privacy and AI laws and EU frameworks. Perform privacy and AI impact assessments, manage data subject requests, coordinate with third-party privacy vendors, and contribute to developing scalable compliance processes. Assist in privacy incident investigations and regulatory reporting.
Secondary Focus (10%): Assist in privacy-related contract negotiations and review third-party privacy terms. Help develop enterprise privacy and AI governance training by providing regulatory guidance.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of applicable experience. Juris Doctorate is required. Experience in U.S. privacy laws including HIPAA and familiarity with EU frameworks is necessary. Additional certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, and AIGP are strongly desired.
