What You Will Be Doing

The Analyst Advisory Services role involves working collaboratively within a team of highly qualified Advisory consultants to deliver performance improvement solutions to healthcare systems. This position primarily focuses on performing billable work for clients.

As an Analyst Advisory Services professional, you will actively participate within an engagement team to determine client needs, analyze and interpret data, evaluate potential solutions, develop presentation materials, and assist in the implementation of recommended improvements. You will be involved in all aspects of an engagement, including identifying issues, forming hypotheses, planning, participating in interviews, conducting analyses, synthesizing conclusions into insights and recommendations, and helping to implement change. This role operates in a team environment, providing input and support for team deliverables and presentations throughout each project phase.

You will interact with clients, building strong working relationships within the Premier and client teams. This position requires a broad approach to problem-solving, developing a deep understanding of our client's needs and expectations.

Analysts are also expected to participate in Premier internal activities, including practice development, required educational opportunities, and learning the various technologies Premier offers to its clients. Additionally, you should:

  • Maintain utilization targets for client billable projects.
  • Create value through meaningful client interactions, data analytics and insights, and team participation on client projects.
  • Create value for the Advisory practice through meaningful participation in practice-related activities aimed at growing and enriching the Practice as a whole or individual Service Lines within the Practice.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility #1 – 60%
    • Obtain data, execute or coordinate analyses, initiate interpretations and conclusions, and prepare verbal and graphic presentations, ensuring professional soundness and efficiency, adhering to firm standards.
    • Generate billings revenue by conducting assigned analyses, writing and preparing reports, and assisting clients in implementing desired changes.
    • Define detailed business requirements by collaborating with team members to effectively interview clients and clarify project objectives, documenting customer wants and needs.
    • Create and prepare presentations and deliverables for client audiences that effectively communicate strategy and outcomes.
    • Actively listen for market opportunities on current engagements and within collaborative networks, communicating potential leads to managers.
    • Deliver content for projects.
  • Responsibility #2 – 20%
    • Participate in practice development activities for the Advisory Services Practice overall or for Service Lines within the Practice.
  • Responsibility #3 – 15%
    • Learn Premier based technologies and services.
  • Responsibility #4 – 5%
    • Complete all required training requirements on an annual basis.

Required Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED (Required).

Skills
  • Awareness of market trends and key competitor activities, negotiation skills, effective approaches to closing sales, networking, and client and healthcare industry knowledge.
  • Understand risk management practices, identify, communicate, and respond to risks and issues to management.
  • Assist in determining client needs by gathering and researching data, utilizing common tools and analytical methods.
  • Proficiency with statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, Matlab, etc.), Advanced Excel skills, Tableau, and Business Intelligence tools.
Experience
  • Experience in healthcare, business, or finance.
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and show value from efforts.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Lean Process Improvement; Six Sigma certification.

Working Conditions & Travel

This is a remote position. Significant travel is required, 81-100% within the US.

Compensation & Benefits

Premier’s compensation philosophy ensures that pay is reasonable, equitable, and competitive to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. The internal salary range for this role is $62,000 - $93,000. Final salary depends on market factors including departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure for base salary flexibility.
