Overview

Join Premera Blue Cross as a Medical Record Retrieval Specialist and improve healthcare by retrieving electronic medical records. This role involves coordinating with Risk Adjustment and Quality Departments to retrieve records from various provider systems and generate letter requests to providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retrieve records from multiple provider EHR systems
  • Generate letter requests for Risk and Quality Departments
  • Conduct telephone outreach to providers to resolve retrieval issues
  • Perform data entry and system research
  • Train contingent workers during peak seasons
  • Assist in maintaining Job Aides and support quality audits
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with at least two years of relevant experience. Must have working knowledge of HIPAA and Privacy Confidentiality Laws. Preferred experience includes medical record retrieval in EHR systems, knowledge of HEDIS, and familiarity with EMR systems (Epic super user).
