Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in Azure cloud technologies and Snowflake Data Warehouse. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines, cloud-based data platforms, and modern ETL/ELT solutions.

Note: Active Azure and Snowflake certifications are mandatory. Candidates without valid certifications will not be considered.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of total IT experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Big Data technologies.
  • Active Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification – Mandatory.
  • Active SnowPro Core Certification – Mandatory.
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure Key Vault, and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Performance Tuning, Data Sharing, and Secure Views.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Dimensional Modeling.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and Apache Airflow.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs, JSON, XML, and semi-structured data sources.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Security, and Performance Optimization.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory Certifications

Candidates must possess both active (non-expired) certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)Mandatory
  • SnowPro Core CertificationMandatory

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
  • Experience with Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, and Streaming Data Pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Exposure to AI/ML data engineering workflows.
  • Experience in Banking, Healthcare, Insurance, or Retail domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Azure-based data pipelines.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Implement data integration solutions for structured and semi-structured data.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and scalability.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
  • Develop reusable data engineering frameworks and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Data Scientists, BI teams, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Monitor production pipelines and resolve performance issues.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and mentor junior data engineers.
