PeaceHealth is seeking a dedicated General Cardiologist to join their team in Bellingham, Washington. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive heart care services within an established and collaborative medical group, supported by state-of-the-art facilities.

PeaceHealth has a long-standing commitment to serving northwest Washington, anchored by PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, a 253-bed, two-campus facility. It operates as a Level II Trauma Center, offering a wide spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services. The Whatcom Region also boasts the comprehensive Cardiovascular Center at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, alongside primary and specialty care provided by PeaceHealth Medical Group.
Compensation
The starting annual salary for this Cardiology Physician position is $579,051.20 per year.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- MD/DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferred; however, candidates graduating from Fellowship will be considered.
- Required Board Certification in both Echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine.
- Interest in managing a balanced workload of both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities.
- Willingness to work across two satellite clinics.
Practice Highlights
- Join a highly collaborative and experienced practice environment.
- Be part of a robust 36-member Clinician team, including 13 General Cardiologists, 4 Interventional Cardiologists, 3 EP Cardiologists, 3 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 3 Vascular Surgeons, and 12 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).
- Benefit from comprehensive clinical and support staff, including a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for Heart Failure patients.
- Access to advanced on-site diagnostic tools: Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing, Cardiac MR, 3-D Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), and dual source Cardiac CTA.
- Manage an average of 18 patients per day.
- Enjoy a shared call schedule of 1:8.
- Utilize Epic EMR for all patient documentation and management.
