Overview

Ascension St. Vincent is seeking a Physician Advisor to join our Women's Health team in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves medical record review, managing the denial management process, and educating clinicians on regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Review medical records to determine level of care and length of stay.
  • Manage and assist in the denial management process.
  • Offer suggestions on resource and service management.
  • Educate physicians and clinicians on regulatory requirements and appropriate utilization.
  • Develop strategies to reduce denials and audits.
  • Analyze hospital data to identify patterns and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid MD/DO (or equivalent) credential from the Florida Board of Medicine. A Doctor of Medicine, Osteopathy, Dental, Optometry, or Podiatric Medicine is required.
