Job Overview

This role is key in the EDRMS programme, a pivotal part of the five-year digital strategy. You will support the product management and Agile delivery of IT products, focusing on patient-facing services like appointment bookings and personal healthcare records.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support product management and prioritize product backlog
  • Represent user needs during Agile sprint planning and reviews
  • Maintain product documentation including release notes and change management
  • Engage with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely software delivery
  • Plan software development, migrations, and upgrades for internal applications

Core Functions

The Deputy Product Owner acts as a subject matter expert for EDRMS products, ensuring effective communication between IT teams, users, and suppliers. The role includes co-designing and improving application experiences across multiple platforms, while maintaining strict governance of software release strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • ITIL Foundation and ISEB Testing Certification
  • Proven experience in digital and IT management, preferably in the public sector
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and technical problem-solving skills
