Operations Footprint Strategy Consultant

What You Will Do

• Accompany top management in the strategic and operational transformation of global value creation networks.
• Develop holistic footprint strategies focusing on customer satisfaction, profitability, resilience, and future viability.
• Analyze, design, and simulate national and international production and distribution networks.
• Develop and implement global production strategies, including site planning, (re-)location, and network optimization.
• Derive the optimal scope of value creation and design efficient manufacturing depths, including make-or-buy decisions.
• Design future-proof factory and supply chain designs.
• Support the acquisition and further development of our consulting business.
• Create publications, studies, and white papers on topics such as re-shoring, supply chain resilience, or operations of the future.
• Maintain and expand our client network.
• Integrate sustainable and digital solutions (e.g., Data-Driven Footprint Decisions, Digital Twins, Scenario Simulations).
• Develop innovative concepts to strengthen resilience, transparency, and flexibility in the end-to-end network.

What You Bring

• Above-average academic degree in a technical or business administration field; ideally supplemented by an MBA or doctorate.
• Several years of experience in management consulting or in an industrial environment (e.g., automotive, mechanical engineering, supplier industry, life sciences, or consumer goods industry) in the areas of strategy, production, business development, or supply chain.
• Deep process understanding along the entire value chain and enthusiasm for cross-functional solutions.
• Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills, as well as confident use of quantitative models and decision-making tools.
• Strong initiative, structured working method, and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Communicative, team-oriented, and empathetic personality.
• Ability to convey complex content clearly and convincingly – in German and English.
• High willingness to travel for projects domestically and internationally.
