Position Overview
The Porsche Track Experience Intern will support the Porsche Track Experience Manager in daily operations, planning, and execution of PTX programs at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL and Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA. This six-month internship provides hands-on exposure to motorsport event management, vendor coordination, marketing, and program analysis with a primary focus on financial and administrative support.
Core responsibilities include processing invoices, managing purchase requisitions and orders, supporting forecasting and accruals, routing RFAs and contracts for signature, budget tracking, procurement, fleet management, event planning, and marketing activities including program sales and communications.
Collaborative work with PCNA departments, vendors, and track partners is essential to drive efficiencies, enhance profitability, and deliver world-class customer experiences.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Finance: Process invoices, manage purchase requisitions and orders, track budgets, and assist with forecasting and P&L projections.
- Contracts & RFAs: Create, route, and track RFAs and contracts through review, approval, and signature.
- Marketing & Communications: Support collateral development, material ordering, social media activities, and advertising initiatives.
- Fleet & Logistics: Manage PTX fleet scheduling, logistics, and updates on arrivals and production delays.
- Event Planning: Assist in planning and executing PTX programs and PCNA national events.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and track partners.
General Information
This internship requires a 6-month commitment. It is a hybrid role with 3 in-office days and 2 remote days per week. The headquarters is located in Carson, California. Compensation is offered at an hourly range of $19 to $21.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds; tasks include talking, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, and occasional stair climbing. Candidates should be comfortable working in an open office/noisy environment.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a finance background with coursework or experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis, and familiarity with invoicing and payment systems. Exposure to project management, event planning, logistics, and marketing is advantageous. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are required along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
