Role Overview: IT Helpdesk Technician
As an IT Helpdesk Technician at Porch Group, you will be responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating end-user and technology issues within our IT department. This role supports employees through telephone, chat, and remote tools, guiding them in using business-specific programs and resolving IT issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and ship equipment for employee use.
- Monitor and troubleshoot work orders and tickets.
- Maintain help desk requests and update ticket statuses.
- Re-image laptops and desktops for redeployments.
- Install and support operating systems and essential software.
- Answer user inquiries and resolve hardware/software issues.
- Document IT knowledge base and manage equipment inventory.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts.
- Implement scripting and automation to reduce repetitive tasks.
- Ensure security standards and patch management compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve IT-related issues.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or 4+ years of related experience.
- Experience with MS Windows, Mac OS X, Office 365, and various communication tools.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Familiarity with IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing.
- IT certifications are a plus.
Work Arrangement & Location
This is a hybrid role based in the Delhi/NCR region, India, with in-presence required for tasks needing physical access to hardware.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: 656,300 INR - 918,800 INR annually. Benefits include comprehensive health, life, and financial coverage alongside various leave policies and wellness programs.
