Overview

Pollard Digital Solutions is seeking a passionate, curious, and self-motivated Test Engineer Data Platform to join our growing Data Platform Team. In this role, you will help shape the quality assurance processes across a modern, cloud-native data ecosystem through a mix of manual testing and automated test suite development.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a cross-functional Agile team embedding quality practices from design through production.
  • Design and execute functional, non-functional, and data quality tests across data pipelines, Redshift queries, and BI systems.
  • Validate data accuracy, lineage, and consistency through end-to-end system testing.
  • Combine exploratory/manual testing with automation for dashboards and reports.
  • Develop and evolve automated testing frameworks including AI-driven test generation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines ensuring fast feedback loops.
  • Partner with engineers and product managers in defining acceptance criteria and testing strategies.
  • Participate in release readiness and drive improvements based on test results.
  • Continuously evaluate modern QA tools, AI frameworks, and cloud services.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in QA/Test Engineering
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge in ETL/ELT concepts and database systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with analytical tool testing (QuickSight, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS services (Redshift, S3, RDS, Glue, etc.)
  • Exposure to AI-powered test frameworks
  • Knowledge of web service and API testing
  • Proficiency with Git and issue tracking tools (Jira, TFS, etc.)
