Cloud Engineer at Point72

What You'll Do

  • Support cloud engineers by fulfilling requests for cloud configuration changes.
  • Assist in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) automation using Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues between on-premise and cloud services, including IAM access.
  • Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve observability, reliability, and performance.
  • Provide cloud solutions architecture review and guidance, and build reference implementations.
  • Implement cost optimization strategies and governance controls.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain cloud security controls and respond to incidents.

What's Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in a large enterprise.
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, and RDS.
  • Experience with Terraform, preferably Terraform Enterprise.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (DataDog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to automate processes.
  • Collaboration skills with teams across locations.
  • Experience with GCP or Azure is a plus.

Location & Work Arrangement

This role is based in New York with a minimum of 3 days onsite.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000-$225,000 USD, excluding bonus compensation and benefits. Actual offer may vary based on location, experience, education, and skills.
