About Pocket FM
Pocket FM is a leading audio entertainment platform specializing in immersive, long-form audio fiction. The company is expanding its French audio content and invites a French Master QC Specialist to join on a freelance basis.
Role Overview
As the Audio Quality Specialist Freelance at Pocket FM, you are responsible for reviewing audio episodes, ensuring sound design, mastering effects, and overall quality meet the required standards. You will flag technical issues and coordinate with sound engineers and voice actors.
Key Responsibilities
- Review sound design and mastering of audio episodes against the script.
- Identify mismatches in voice, music, sound effects, and levels.
- Conduct up to two rounds of proof listening per episode.
- Use CMS to request edits and ensure quality benchmarks are met.
- Adhere to confidentiality and security policies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Fluent in French (native or near-native proficiency).
- Strong understanding of audio mastering and sound design.
- Experience in audio QC or post-production.
- Familiarity with audio editing software (Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Productivity Guidelines
High Productivity: 15 – 20 final hours reviewed per week. Average Productivity: 10 – 15 final hours reviewed per week. Low Productivity: Less than 10 final hours reviewed per week.
