Job Summary
As an EU Project Compliance Consultant, you will manage the financial and administrative lifecycle of EU-funded projects, ensuring full compliance with European Commission rules and program requirements. You will act as the main point of contact for clients on all post-award topics, including financial reporting, audits, and project coordination. This role is ideal for professionals with strong attention to detail, a structured mindset, and experience in EU project financial management.
Your Mission
Ensure that EU-funded projects are financially sound, compliant, and audit-ready, while supporting clients in navigating complex funding rules and administrative processes.
Your Tasks
- Manage financial and administrative follow-up of EU-funded projects (Horizon Europe, H2020, LIFE, EDF)
- Prepare and review financial statements, cost reports, and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with EU eligibility rules (personnel, subcontracting, indirect costs, etc.)
- Act as main client contact for financial and administrative topics
- Support and coordinate audits and reviews (CFS, EC audits)
- Monitor budgets, cost allocation, and project spending
- Guide clients on best practices in grant management and compliance
- Coordinate with internal consultants and external project partners
Your Profile
- 2–6 years of experience in EU project financial management, audits, or grant administration
- Strong knowledge of Horizon Europe / H2020 financial rules (other programs are a plus)
- Experience with financial reporting, cost eligibility, or audits (CFS)
- Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers and documentation
- Client-facing mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Fluent in Spanish and English (professional level)
- Experience with EU portals/tools (Funding & Tenders Portal, SyGMa) is a plus
