Position Overview

As a Lending Transaction Associate within PNC's Commercial Lending organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting complex financial operations. This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC, requiring work from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities of a Lending Transaction Associate

  • Performs functions in the documentation, funding, and due diligence requirements of standard or complex transactions being financed by PNC, or bought from/sold to other institutions.
  • May provide client-facing service directly or with senior coordinators and interact with external business partners, offering on-the-job training or coaching as needed.
  • Determines, reviews and issues required legal documents for transactions while ensuring all terms are met, including preparing and issuing legal documents to clients for complex transactions.
  • Interacts with internal and external contacts to gather necessary information and coordinate closing, directing work flow as needed to ensure client expectations are met, and building relationships with legal counsel, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Gathers, reviews, and analyzes all information from internal and external parties specific to transactions, resolving inquiries/issues as necessary.
  • Complies with necessary regulations, internal procedures, and may assist in response to audit exceptions.
  • Validates that transaction structures match pricing models and assures potential for perfection of security interest for transactions and/or requests approval for exceptions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate incoming data, requests, and obtain requirements.
  • Strong communication skills (written / oral) – highly professional, effective, demonstrates respect, comfortable engaging at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including downloading/formatting data, creating pivot tables to identify specific data points, and generating charts/tables.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with accuracy and responsiveness.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Tableau for leveraging existing reports and generating technical instructions.
  • SharePoint skills for building forms/lists and supporting reporting and formatting needs.
  • PowerPoint knowledge, including PNC-branded formats and use of Designer for formatting.
  • Change management experience, such as generating/reviewing procedures or job aids and leading training.
  • ACBS experience, particularly search capability and understanding data levels.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience, including leading and participating in diverse work groups, bridging gaps, setting goals, and maintaining accountability.

Qualifications

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role. This position typically requires a university / college degree with less than 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. A comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $18.00 to $87,100.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible, with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
