Due to our on-going success securing large-scale projects we have a requirement for Lead Piping Designers to join our Piping Department in Dublin. With a team of 80+ professionals there is great scope to expand your career as a Lead Piping Designer due to the variety of world class projects.

Responsibilities of a Lead Piping Designer

  • Act as Lead Designer on small projects or as a Senior Designer on large projects, with potential to be the Piping Design Team Lead.
  • Piping 3D modelling and developing technical descriptions.
  • Create drawings, complex piping plans and layouts, piping isometrics sketches, and electronic models for equipment.
  • Ensure designs comply with project requirements, codes, specifications, and procedures.
  • Conduct clash checking for pipe clashes.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams on globally executed projects.
  • Work with project team members, client teams, and other external parties for coordination.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable leadership experience in industrial piping design is ideal.
  • 15+ years of piping design experience in chemical, bio-pharma, or similar industrial projects.
  • Working knowledge of Cadworx suite is an asset; candidates with 3D modelling experience in PDS, PDMS, SmartPlant3D, Plant3D, or other 3D software are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience gained on international projects is highly desirable.
  • Computer literate with good experience in MS Word and Excel.
  • Preferred Certificate (Level 6) or Diploma/Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or Science related discipline.
