Mission of the People Analytics Technician

As the People Analytics Technician for PLD Space, your mission is to manage, clean, and analyze people's data to provide actionable insights for strategic organizational decisions and solve business problems. This involves utilizing people's data from various HR and IT systems, as well as external sources such as salary surveys, payroll, holiday tracking, and timesheet registration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with data for the People & Culture area to create dashboards and tools for business departments as required.
  • Organize, audit, cleanse, and maintain all people-related data.
  • Understand available data sources and ensure robust base data through data hygiene processes and a programmed schedule of data validation.
  • Lead the development of data visualization, dashboards, and reporting for people's data, producing regular reports and analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and ensure our data and reporting systems are fit for purpose, integrating with systems managed by other teams, such as Finance.
  • Support the Finance team in the annual budget process and maintain accurate month-by-month staff budget data to monitor expenditure.

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a consultancy or HR/labor department within large workforce companies, with solid knowledge of Spanish labor legislation.
  • Experience in HR and payroll administration, including contracts, payroll, settlements, flexible compensation, social security processes, time tracking, vacations, leaves and absences, sickness and accident leave, birth leave, subsidized training, and HR documentation.
  • Hands-on use of systems such as Sistema RED, Delt@, SILTRA, SLD, and Contrat@.
  • A relevant qualification and/or equivalent work experience in data analysis.
  • Proven track record of success in working with quantitative data, undertaking analysis, and providing reports to senior stakeholders, including experience or understanding of data preparation, cleaning, and transformation into clear, readable analysis.
  • Demonstrable success in creating strategic narratives from underlying data.
  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar (e.g., Tableau), or evidence of underlying relevant skills including data modeling, querying, and visualization.
  • Effective and confident communicator with the ability to convey complex data to stakeholders, enabling informed decisions.
  • Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong conceptual thinker, with a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Close attention to detail, and strong judgment regarding when and where this is necessary.
  • Self-starter, with initiative, drive, and the ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Organized to ensure work is completed to a high standard and to deadline.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and confidentiality.

Desired Competencies

  • Direct experience with Power BI and/or Salesforce.
  • Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations (RRLL).
  • Knowledge of labor management of ERP systems.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
