Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join one of our squad teams to develop cutting-edge solutions where milliseconds matter. Your focus will be on achieving best availability, lowest latency, and efficient resource usage across all transaction processing and micro-services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend systems for promotional features.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance and scalability.
  • Lead technical decisions and contribute to our SaaS solutions.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams to implement new features.
  • Review code and architecture to ensure excellence.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to guarantee system reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, OOP, SOLID, MVC architectures, and design patterns.
  • Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Web application frameworks like Symfony or Laminas.
  • Solid experience in Node.js/TypeScript and asynchronous programming.
  • Knowledge of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL), columnar (Redshift, ClickHouse), and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases.
  • Proven track record in developing production-ready solutions.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka and GRPC.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of application security and industry best practices.
