About the role

Junior Game Designer at Playrix

Playrix is one of the most successful mobile game development companies in the world. We are in the top 3 by revenue and #1 in revenue among all mobile applications in EMEA. Our games have been installed 2.3 billion times (a third of the world's population), and over 30 million people play them every day!

The game design team at Playrix is a strong community of experts. We set trends in the casual games market and strive to create the highest quality products. We make decisions based on expertise, creativity, and objective analytical data.

We are looking for fans of casual mobile games – aspiring game designers who are ready to grow on Playrix's most successful projects and create games that earn tens of millions of dollars! This is your chance to join a top team and become a producer of a world hit!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of game event concepts and game mechanics.
  • Control of the development process and planning of project development from a game design perspective.
  • Development of internal game economy and monetization.

We Expect:

  • Extensive gaming experience and interest in Match-3 games (500+ levels in top games).
  • Proactivity and motivation for rapid growth and continuous development.
  • Understanding of mobile game market trends.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in game development for at least 1 year.
  • Participation in game jams and hackathons.
  • Higher education (in a relevant field).

Why Playrix is a Great Place to Work:

  • Opportunity for continuous professional development in an expert team of game designers and producers. We have a huge knowledge base and a mentorship system for rapid adaptation.
  • Practically unlimited resources and the involvement of leading specialists from any department to solve the most complex tasks.
  • Cross-product initiatives. For example, we constantly experiment and implement new technologies: AI to accelerate pre-production, calibration of level difficulty by bots using neural networks, ML for personalized gaming experience.
  • Opportunity to move between directions, not just within one product (Live-ops development, new games in production, marketing creatives), participate in cross-product initiatives, and reach the company-wide level.
  • Ability to change processes and approaches to more effective ones without lengthy approvals or bureaucracy.

What We Offer:

  • Flexibility in work: For most positions, we offer a flexible schedule and remote work. We focus on results, not on the place or method of task execution.
  • Health and well-being: We provide VHI for employees, their partners, and children, and compensate for online psychology sessions. We cover 100% of salary during vacation or sick leave without unnecessary paperwork. We also provide additional days off for special occasions. We support a healthy lifestyle and compensate for sports club memberships and fitness app subscriptions.
  • Development and learning: We pay for participation in specialized conferences and courses, and conduct internal conferences. We compensate for foreign language learning.
  • Events and merchandise: We regularly hold entertainment and work events offline: team meetings, large corporate parties, and more casual office parties. We also regularly hold online entertainment contests, quizzes, hackathons, and sports challenges. Our own merchandise store with internal currency, where you can buy unique gifts. Currency is awarded on significant dates and can also be earned by participating in events and brand activities.
