Summary
The Product Designer - Fun Formations turns creative ideas into real, buildable play spaces and themed sculptural elements. This hybrid role combines artistic creativity with technical design expertise to produce inspiring concepts and clear manufacturing documentation. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs are visually impactful, manufacturable, and align with installation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept Design & Visualization: Create compelling renderings, sketches, digital illustrations, 3D models, or AI-generated visuals.
- Create 3D models using Blender, ZBrush, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
- Integrate organic and parametric modeling workflows.
- Utilize AI tools for ideation and early-stage modeling.
- Present client-ready concepts including 2D sketches and renderings.
- Interpret 2D CAD plans and apply ADA, CPSI, and safety standards.
- Manufacturing Deliverables: Develop weldment designs and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Optimize high-poly mesh models for parametric integration.
- Create grid drawings for shop floor sculptors using Rhino3D or similar tools.
- Prepare models optimized for 3D printing, CNC milling, and routing.
- Create standard design detail sheets supporting field installations.
- Balance budget constraints with material, durability, and visual impact.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with preferred formal training in art or sculpture. At least 5 years of experience in painting and concrete sculpting, with proven team leadership skills. Must be proficient in painting and sculpting techniques, understand safety standards, and be physically able to perform required tasks. Excellent communication and adaptability are essential.
