The Opportunity: Digital Marketing Manager

As a Digital Marketing Manager at Plaid, you will be a key member of our Digital Marketing team, spearheading the strategy and execution of high-impact paid campaigns. This includes channels like Search, Social, Display, and CTV, all aimed at driving qualified pipeline and revenue. You will adeptly manage multi-million-dollar media budgets, making data-driven allocation decisions to ensure a strong return on ad spend and high lead quality. Collaborating closely with Product Marketing and Sales, you will define targeted messaging and audience segments, evolving Plaid’s narrative across the full marketing funnel. This is a performance-driven role where you will be responsible for continuous optimization, developing comprehensive testing roadmaps, and translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define Plaid’s digital marketing strategy across various campaign types, including content, events, webinars, and thought leadership.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns across channels such as Search, Social, Display, and CTV.
  • Operationalize paid media budget, managing investment and performance against pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Define audiences, messaging frameworks, and campaign objectives in close partnership with Product Marketing.
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to ensure digital marketing performance directly translates into actionable pipeline and revenue.
  • Establish and execute a test-and-learn and optimization roadmap to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Measure, analyze, and communicate campaign performance, connecting digital results to overall business impact.
  • Contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for digital marketing at Plaid, actively shaping how the program scales.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with direct ownership and proven success in digital marketing programs.
  • Preferred experience in content strategy.
  • Preferred experience working within fintech or startup environments.
  • Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of executing digital campaigns that significantly influenced pipeline and/or revenue outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Solution-oriented, proactive mindset, and ability to thrive and succeed in ambiguous environments.
