Role Overview - Account Executive - SMB
As an Account Executive - SMB at Plaid, you will generate new deals and build strong, long-lasting relationships with companies across financial services, utilities, billing, insurance and more. You will identify opportunities and guide cross-functional teams through a consultative technical sales process.
- Prospect and identify high potential companies (100+ employees).
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Lead technical sales motions involving engineers and product teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to support consultative sales.
- Master Plaid solutions and evangelize fintech innovations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of quota-carrying, technical selling experience, a proven track record in new-net hunting roles, and a hunter mentality. They should be skilled in building territory plans, executing strategies, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Passion for Plaid’s mission and technical products/APIs is essential.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary ranges between approximately $68,619 and $96,600 per year depending on location, excluding commissions, equity, and benefits. Actual salaries may vary based on experience, skills, and education.
