Our Sales team at Plaid combines deep product and industry knowledge, focusing on expanding Plaid to a broad set of businesses. We believe every financial services company, and any company offering financial products to consumers, can benefit from superior financial technology. As an Account Executive - SMB, you will be instrumental in achieving this vision, focusing on generating new deals and building strong, long-lasting relationships with companies. You'll identify and close deals across various verticals including financial services, utilities, billing, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Identify use cases and prospect high-growth companies with approximately 100 or more employees.
- Develop a book of high-potential, engaged prospects and maintain a sufficient pipeline to support successful quota attainment.
- Successfully lead a technical sales motion, guiding engineers, product, and growth team members through the entire lifecycle from prospecting to close.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources and drive initiatives across Plaid to support a consultative sales approach.
- Achieve mastery of Plaid solutions and evangelize for industry success across fintech and other relevant industries.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of quota-carrying, technical selling experience in a new-net hunting role.
- A strong track record of over-performance against sales targets.
- Possess a hunter mentality, actively seeking out new business opportunities.
- Ability to collaborate internally and exhibit a “win as a team” mentality.
- Experience in building and executing territory plans effectively.
- Passion for working with growth-stage private companies.
- Proficiency in technical products and APIs.
- Passion for Plaid’s mission of unlocking financial freedom for everyone.
