The Fintech team at Plaid brings together deep product and industry expertise, dedicated to propelling both emerging and established Fintech companies to new levels of growth. Our core belief is that every Fintech enterprise can significantly benefit from a tailored Plaid solution designed to meet their specific goals and objectives. As an Account Executive - Fintech, you will be instrumental in realizing this vision.
Your role will involve engaging with Plaid's existing Fintech customers, as well as identifying and cultivating relationships with new Fintechs not yet utilizing Plaid's platform. You will gain a profound understanding of their business models and strategically align our solutions to help them achieve both immediate and long-term goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for Plaid solutions to deliver substantial value to both existing and prospective high-growth Fintech customers.
- Develop and manage a robust book of high-potential, engaged prospects, ensuring a sufficient pipeline to meet and exceed quota attainment.
- Own the complete end-to-end sales cycle, coordinating effectively with sales engineers, product specialists, and other internal team members throughout the entire sales process.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources and lead initiatives across Plaid to support a truly consultative sales motion, ensuring customer success.
- Manage the sales pipeline diligently and provide accurate forecasts for deal value and win probability.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of Plaid's diverse solutions and expertly apply this knowledge to identify how each customer can best leverage our technology to achieve their unique strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying direct sales role, coupled with a strong, demonstrable track record of consistent attainment.
- Excellent prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills, driven by a consultative sales approach and a customer-centric mindset.
- A working knowledge of APIs and a genuine desire to understand the intricate workings of Plaid's technology 'under the hood'.
- A professional yet approachable communication style, with a proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within an organization, maintaining a credible and non-‘salesy’ demeanor.
