The Credit team at Plaid offers deep product and industry knowledge, focusing on helping both emerging and established lenders achieve significant growth. Their core belief is that every lender can benefit from a tailored Plaid solution designed to meet unique goals, such as approving more borrowers and reducing portfolio risk through innovative credit solutions. As an Account Executive, Credit, you will be instrumental in realizing this vision.

Your primary focus will be engaging a curated list of prospective lenders who do not currently utilize Plaid, identifying partnership opportunities, and managing the entire sales process. Additionally, you will work closely with Plaid's existing lending customers, deeply understanding their businesses and aligning Plaid's solutions to support their near-term and long-term objectives. This role involves cross-segment collaboration with other Plaid Account Executives to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for Plaid solutions to deliver significant value to both prospective high-growth and existing lending customers.
  • Develop a robust book of high-potential, engaged prospects and maintain a sufficient pipeline to consistently meet quota attainment.
  • Own the complete end-to-end sales cycle, coordinating efforts with sales engineers, product specialists, and other team members throughout the sales process.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources and drive initiatives across Plaid to support a highly consultative sales motion.
  • Effectively manage your sales pipeline and accurately forecast deal value and win probability.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of Plaid's diverse solutions and expertly apply this knowledge to identify how each customer can leverage their technology to achieve unique goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in a quota-carrying direct sales role, demonstrating a strong, consistent track record of attainment.
  • Exceptional prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills, coupled with a consultative sales approach and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Possess a working knowledge of APIs and a genuine desire to understand the underlying technical mechanisms of Plaid's platform.
  • Exhibit a professional yet approachable communication style, with the ability to distill complex concepts into simple terms for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization without being perceived as 'salesy'.
