Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a rapidly growing, mission-driven healthcare technology organization. This is a fully remote, direct-hire position, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. You will be instrumental in developing and scaling a brand-new platform designed to integrate data, enhance care delivery, and improve outcomes for underserved communities. Occasional travel may be required for team meetups.
Responsibilities
- Design and construct scalable platform services, web and mobile applications, and AI-driven workflows.
- Utilize AI-enhanced development tools to expedite delivery, improve testing processes, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Influence greenfield architecture decisions, including service design, infrastructure, and technology stack selection.
- Implement robust security measures across application, network, and infrastructure layers, adhering to best practices like OWASP and SAST/DAST.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to refine features and assess their business impact.
- Enhance SDLC processes in areas such as testing, performance optimization, and developer experience, while promoting team collaboration.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience with proven production-level ownership.
- Proficiency in React, Node.js, Postgres, and AWS.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude or similar) in daily development.
- Strong background in system design, distributed systems, and live coding environments.
- Ability to work remotely, with a preference for EST.
- Occasional travel required for team collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Compensation
- Salary range of $160,000–$180,000, commensurate with experience.
