Biomedical Equipment Technician at Piper Companies
Piper Companies is actively seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to play a crucial role in supporting a reputable Healthcare Institution in Philadelphia, PA. This position focuses on the essential installation, ongoing maintenance, precise calibration, and prompt repair of vital biomedical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex biomedical equipment, including anesthesia machines and ventilators.
- Coordinate effectively with other departments and external vendors for troubleshooting issues and facilitating new equipment installations.
- Ensure and verify that all medical equipment operates consistently according to the manufacturer’s rigorous standards.
- Maintain accurate and proper work documentation for all service and repair activities.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Biomedical or Electronics Technology or a closely related field.
- IT certification, such as networking or A++, is a mandatory requirement.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a contract-to-hire position offering competitive compensation ranging from $30.00 to $45.00 per hour. Piper Companies provides a comprehensive benefits package upon conversion, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
