About the roleWe’re looking for a Data Architect to own and scale our data platform end-to-end. This role sits at the intersection of data architecture, analytics engineering, and AI, defining the foundations that power decision-making across the company.You’ll design robust, scalable data models, govern our semantic layer, and build AI-powered tooling that accelerates our data teams without compromising quality.

What you’ll do

• Own the end-to-end data architecture (ingestion → transformation → consumption) on GCP
• Design and maintain canonical data models (Kimball, star/snowflake, SCDs)
• Define and govern the semantic layer (metrics, dimensions, consistency across BI & AI)
• Establish dbt standards and best practices across the organization
• Ensure data quality, lineage, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Optimize performance and costs in BigQuery
• Build AI tooling to automate analytics workflows (LLMs, prompt pipelines, evaluation frameworks)
• Enable scalable self-service analytics through well-modeled data and BI tools
• Act as a technical leader, mentoring senior engineers and influencing architecture decisions

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years in Data / Analytics Engineering
• Strong experience owning data architecture at scale
• Deep expertise in data modeling (Kimball, dimensional modeling)
• Advanced SQL + dbt (non-negotiable)
• Hands-on experience with GCP / BigQuery
• Experience with semantic layers (e.g., Cube.dev, dbt Metrics)
• Strong skills in Python and AI/LLM-based tooling
• Solid understanding of data quality, governance, and CI/CD
• Ability to connect technical decisions to business impact

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
• Background in building internal data/AI platforms
