Role Overview
As the Principal Machine Learning Engineer, Growth, you will be the technical visionary and lead for the Growth Engineering team. You will set the technical strategy and roadmap that supports industry-leading user and engagement growth across the Pinterest platform.
What You’ll Do
- Develop strong partnerships with product teams to address technology needs and developer pain points.
- Champion and drive large-scale, cross-functional projects to increase user visitation and engagement.
- Advocate for Growth engineers by representing their needs to leadership and prioritizing high-quality initiatives.
- Mentor team members and establish best practices, processes, and training programs.
- Ensure solid technical plans and strategies for projects, including review and delegation where necessary.
- Act as the technical point of contact for decisions impacting the entire Pinterest platform.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep expertise in building and deploying large-scale ML systems with modern frameworks.
- Experience in deep learning architectures, generative AI, and responsible discovery surfaces.
- Proven track record of leading large, cross-functional projects and driving user engagement growth.
- Strong communication skills and a history of effective cross-functional collaboration.
- A degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or related field with 10+ years in the industry.
Work Arrangement & Additional Information
This position is US-based. While remote work is possible, candidates are required to collaborate in person 1-2 times every 6 months.
