About the Role: Manager II, Machine Learning Content Success
The Content Success team ensures that Pinners see fresh products, ideas and inspiration in their recommendations, while Content Producers gain exposure and monetization opportunities. This role leads a team of experienced backend and machine learning engineers to develop advanced signals, integrations, and systems integral to Pinterest’s key products.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of experienced backend and machine learning engineers.
- Provide technical leadership in content distribution and recommender systems.
- Bridge content acquisition and recommendation teams with expert insights.
- Manage project execution, roadmap planning and risk mitigation.
- Solve technical challenges such as building scalable ML systems and feature generation.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of industry experience with 2+ years in management.
- Experience with large-scale machine learning systems, big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and real-time processing (Kafka, Flink).
- Expertise in NLP models, LLMs, and content understanding.
- Proven success in building and leading high performing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
Additional Information
This position is US-based and not eligible for relocation assistance. The role requires in-office collaboration 1-2 times per quarter, and can be based anywhere in the country. Salary range is disclosed and the role is also eligible for equity.
