Case Management Scheduler

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Schedule patient appointments according to employer protocols and guidelines
  • Communicate pertinent information regarding employer programs and services to patients
  • Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into the electronic health record system
  • Maintain proper documentation of all activities and ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Function as a liaison for patients and the health center, directing calls and escalating cases as necessary

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a call center environment or medical/dental office setting preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and documentation
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • College, vocational/technical training, or certification preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole helpful
  • Knowledge of electronic health records software or equivalent preferred
