Overview

The Power Engineering Technologist I-PETI - CC is an entry level training position designed to develop a candidate's basic skills in power distribution design. Candidates will be trained under direct supervision to prepare safe, cost-effective, and reliable electrical distribution facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn and practice all safety policies 100% of the time.
  • Understand client and company procedures for developing site electrical designs.
  • Prepare site drawings, construction sketches and job packages.
  • Evaluate equipment loading and ensure cost effective design.
  • Maintain accurate records and update client systems.
  • Support business goals while representing the company professionally.
  • Assist in storm restoration activities when required.

Qualifications

Required: High school degree or GED. Preferred: Associate degree in a related technical field. 0-1 year experience in a technical field or GIS/CAD. Utility field experience is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work involves both indoor and outdoor activities, occasional physical tasks, and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must be comfortable with moderate noise levels and various physical activities including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
