About the Underwriting Associate Role
Working as an Underwriting Associate requires adapting your skills to a data-driven approach to risk management. You will review and analyze new business submissions, process revisions to quotes and binding policies, and support underwriters and partners.
How You’ll Do It
- Review and analyze business submissions and revisions.
- Handle transactional tasks within specified authority.
- Coordinate with Underwriters and internal teams.
- Manage communications with agency partners.
- Maintain and develop knowledge on WC and Commercial Auto lines.
The Right Stuff
A high school degree is required; Bachelor’s preferred. 1 year of experience in commercial lines (or relevant experience) is valued. Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and cloud platforms is highly preferred. Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, adaptability, and a drive to improve insurance operations are essential.
