Role Overview: Claims Adjuster - Workers Compensation
The Claims Adjuster will deliver quality claim file management and an industry-leading customer claims experience by adhering to Pie’s Claims Best Practices and regulatory requirements. This role involves working with internal and external partners to mitigate claim exposure and negotiate favorable settlements.
How You’ll Do It
- Claims Technical Management: Manage workers’ compensation claims from setup to closure.
- Conduct timely investigations and adjust reserves accurately.
- Mitigate claim exposure and negotiate settlements.
- Administer statutory benefits and control legal activities.
- Identify early resolution opportunities and optimize outcomes.
Claims Customer Service
- Serve as a point of contact for agents and customers.
- Provide claim status updates, coverage verification, and reports.
- Deliver excellent customer service and drive top-notch claims experience.
- Collaborate with TPA adjusters and claims partners.
- Continuously improve processes and claim service protocols.
The Right Stuff
Must have a high school diploma, with a preference for Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2-years workers’ compensation claims experience in multiple states is required. The role demands strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work independently. Experience in claim adjudication, medical management, litigation management, and using G-Suite/Slack is preferred.

- Base Salary: $70,000—$90,000 USD.
