About The Role
The Director of Government Solutions Space Force will work directly with our founders to define strategy for engaging U.S. Space Force stakeholders, drive business growth, and deploy technology in critical space and multi-domain operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to secure contracts, agreements, and funding with key space entities.
- Develop and execute a government solutions strategy tailored to the space domain.
- Build and maintain relationships with U.S. Space Force and DoD stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Capture Managers and Deployment Strategists to win high-value opportunities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a growing government business development team.
- Monitor and analyze policy, acquisition, and technology trends affecting national security in space.
- Represent Picogrid at industry conferences and government-industry partnership events.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in military service, government solutions, or related roles.
- Proven track record in securing and managing complex government contracts.
- Ability to thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Active TS/SCI U.S. security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with U.S. Space Force or related space commands.
- Deep understanding of space acquisition processes and DoD enterprise sales cycles.
- Knowledge of unmanned systems, C5ISR, space situational awareness, or related technologies.
- Strong network within the national security space ecosystem.
- Experience scaling an early-stage government tech company into a growth-stage enterprise.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $180,000 - $220,000 plus performance incentive.
