Job Description
Operations Supervisor at Picnic Technologies
Are you a recent graduate looking for an exciting leadership role to kickstart your career in a forward-thinking environment? Picnic Technologies is offering you the opportunity to start as an Operations Supervisor at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Kabelsketal. We are the innovative online supermarket that delivers groceries daily to over 100 German cities with more than 3,000 EPVs (Electric Picnic Vehicles). Our successful concept is backed by investors such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Join our dynamic team and leverage your analytical and organizational skills to boost warehouse performance and enhance our customers' shopping experience.
What awaits you
- Team Leadership: You will be the central anchor and primary point of contact for your team – leading, motivating, fostering, and inspiring a team of team leads and over 100 warehouse employees daily.
- Shift Management: You will manage daily operations in the FC, ensuring that all operational activities are prioritized and reliably completed with structure and care during your shift.
- Process Optimization: Take responsibility for your own site-based optimization projects – you will implement pragmatic solutions and continuously improve our logistical processes together with the team.
- Versatility: Master the exciting balance between operational leadership (3-4 shift management days) and strategic work (1-2 office days) for a varied and fulfilling role.
What you bring
- You have successfully completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
- You are passionate about logistics and ideally have some practical experience in a warehouse environment (e.g., through internships, working student positions, or similar).
- You speak fluent German and have very good English skills.
- You are willing to work evenings and occasionally Saturdays as part of a full-time position.
- Your ability to quickly grasp unforeseen problems and find targeted, practical solutions distinguishes you.
- You work independently, thoroughly, and are goal-oriented with a hands-on mentality.
What you can look forward to
- Kickstart your career: Become part of our international team in an environment that fosters genuine growth and an "Act like an Owner" mentality. You'll have the chance to drive projects independently, test new ideas, and directly see your work make an impact in our rapidly growing company.
- Sustainability at its core: Be part of the revolution. You'll contribute to a greener future through our 100% electric fleet and a supply chain that reduces food waste.
- The essentials: We provide everything for your success, including a laptop and mobile phone, as well as access to exclusive employee discounts (Corporate Benefits) for travel, technology, and more.
- Time to recharge: With 30 days of vacation per year (for a 40-hour week), you'll ensure the perfect balance between work and rest.
- Catering for winners: We take care of you. Enjoy a fresh, free breakfast and lunch or dinner every day at our Fulfillment Center, along with plenty of snacks and fruit for an energy boost.
- Unforgettable moments: We are more than just a team. From our legendary annual ski trip to Christmas parties and performances by our own Picnic band, we celebrate our successes together.
- Individual mobility: You'll receive a company car (also for private use), and free parking is available at Picnic locations.
- Food rescuers: Get our exclusive "Too-Good-To-Go" bags and save delicious food – exclusively for our employees!
