Overview
The Phoenix at Milton is seeking an Assistant Program and Outreach Director (Activities Assistant) to join their team. This role supports the primary Program and Outreach Director in delivering resident centered activities that promote wellness across emotional, physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions.
Shift Details
Activities scheduled Monday to Friday with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with facilitating personalized activities incorporating all dimensions of wellness.
- Monitor resident changes and document pertinent information in communication logs.
- Support residents in transit to activity rooms and daily life skills activities.
- Maintain inventory and orderly activity areas, including supplies and records.
- Delegate daily care tasks for animals or plants as needed.
Requirements
Education & Experience: High School Diploma with experience in senior living preferred. Knowledge in assisted living and dementia care is advantageous.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to schedule, train staff and volunteers; proficient in MS Office; good documentation and time management; understanding state regulations, risk management, infection control, and personalized service plans.
Physical Requirements
The role includes standing, walking, sitting, and occasional driving. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 70 lbs, with additional physical tasks as required.
