This full-time Food Runner position is located at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, 1201 Market St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. This is a non-management role with a pay rate of $18.45 per hour.

Position Summary

As a Food Runner, your responsibilities will encompass various crucial tasks to ensure smooth dining operations and guest satisfaction. You will be expected to:

• Complete all closing duties, which include storing reusable goods, breaking down items, cleaning all equipment and areas thoroughly, returning equipment to its designated locations, securing refrigerators, restocking necessary items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing the daily cleaning checklist.
• Set up, stock, and meticulously maintain all work areas, ensuring they are prepared for service.
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver before they are used by guests.
• Maintain the cleanliness of your work areas consistently throughout the day by practicing efficient "clean-as-you-go" procedures.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety and security policies and procedures. You must report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to a manager promptly and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure your uniform and personal appearance are consistently clean and professional. You must maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to Marriott's established company standards.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, support the team in achieving common goals, and actively listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality expectations and service standards in all tasks.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Physically move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move safely over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform any other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this Food Runner role will possess the following:

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None specified.
