Job Overview

The Senior Platform Operations Support & Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring system reliability, quality, and stability. This role involves extensive post production monitoring, site reliability engineering (SRE) and business requirements testing (BRT) to meet and exceed customer expectations through robust testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Reliability and Performance: Develop and implement monitoring and alerting strategies; collaborate on automated incident response; conduct root cause analysis; participate in on-call rotations.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and refine business requirements, identifying ambiguities and gaps.
  • Test Planning and Design: Develop test strategies and plans; create tools and utilities for continuous testing and integration; contribute to code improvements.
  • Testing Execution and Automation: Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests manually and automated; analyze test results and resolve issues using automation frameworks.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation; report progress and results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required skills include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience), 5+ years experience in software testing focused on business requirements testing, expertise with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), experience in incident response and root cause analysis, proficiency in Golang and Python, familiarity with test management tools, robust testing methodologies, and hands-on test automation experience. Experience with APIs, databases (PostgresDB, MongoDB) and performance testing tools is also required.

Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive mindset dedicated to continuous improvement.
