The Role: Product Designer, Wallet Platform

Phantom is a design-led company committed to making crypto safe, friendly, and accessible. Our crypto wallet is utilized by millions to engage with applications and financial services built on the Solana blockchain. As a Product Designer, Wallet Platform at Phantom, you will play a crucial role in enhancing crypto accessibility and inclusivity for a global audience by employing human-centered design principles to lower barriers to entry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for a product team from initial concept through to launch, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, marketing, support, and executive leadership.
• Define innovative product flows and seamlessly integrate them into our existing design system.
• Translate complex, abstract ideas into practical, user-friendly experiences for our users across both desktop and mobile platforms.
• Contribute strategically to the future direction of Phantom, crypto wallets, and the broader web3 ecosystem.
• Proactively elevate our standards for design quality, making the crypto user experience more approachable for everyday individuals.
• Design comprehensive, end-to-end flows and experiences that are both simple and elegant.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven experience in building and shipping applications and software, with a strong emphasis on mobile-first consumer products.
• A deep understanding of crypto ecosystems, demonstrated by a crypto-native perspective acquired through professional experience, personal projects, or active participation in the web3 community.
• Demonstrated ability to present design work effectively to broader product teams and leadership, clearly articulating design goals, rationale, and user impact.
• Strong visual design capabilities, including proficiency in desktop and mobile UI, color systems, layout, and iconography.
• Advanced interaction design expertise, with the ability to define intuitive user behaviors and communicate ideas clearly through high-fidelity prototypes.
• Experience in leading product direction and applying strategic thinking to establish product goals, identify user opportunities, and make well-informed design decisions.
• Background in defining and contributing to design systems and reusable components that enhance the quality and consistency of the overall design practice.
• Be a visionary in building DApps within crypto and designing for developer products and SDKs.
