Job Summary
As a Busser at P.F. Chang's, you will play a crucial role in restaurant dine-in and takeout operations, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience. This position involves cleaning, running food, bussing restaurant tables, and completing essential side work. P.F. Chang's is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time hourly Bussers, Runners, or Service Assistants.
Job Responsibilities
- Guide guests through their dining experience, accurately taking, placing, and reviewing orders for both takeout and catering.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the P.F. Chang's restaurant menu to assist guests with menu item selection and answer any questions regarding takeout and catering options.
- Review orders carefully with guests at pick-up or upon delivery, or with Delivery Drivers, to ensure complete accuracy.
- Deliver an amazing hospitality experience by anticipating, delivering, and exceeding guest expectations.
- Efficiently clear, clean, and sanitize restaurant tables, transporting bussed dishes to the kitchen dishwasher station, and promptly resetting tables as needed.
- Remove bus tubs from the bar area and transport them to the kitchen dishwasher station for cleaning.
- Restock, clean, and meticulously maintain all restaurant stations to ensure operational readiness.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the restaurant's seating layout, server section divisions, and optimal food delivery routes within the dining area.
- Serve food or beverages for both dine-in and takeout guests as required.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience is not required; P.F. Chang's provides comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and professional etiquette.
- Ability to operate essential kitchen equipment, including coffee machines, iced tea machines, lemon slicers, and the point of sale (POS) system.
- Capable of executing proper sanitation practices and adhering to all safety procedures.
- Possess a current Food Handler's Card where applicable, or be willing to obtain one with company assistance.
- Exhibit strong and effective communication skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.
