Role Overview

The Data Scientist will build predictive models, analyze large datasets, and develop tools to power investment decisions. This role involves leveraging data to identify high-potential startups and improve decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain predictive models for startups and market analysis
  • Apply machine learning techniques on structured and unstructured data
  • Use historical data to refine sourcing and screening processes
  • Design tools and systems to support scalable decision-making
  • Automate data pipelines and integrate third-party data sources
  • Collaborate with the investment team and provide technical support during due diligence
  • Translate complex insights into actionable recommendations
  • Support rollout of native AI tools to enhance efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics
  • Experience in startups or venture capital preferred
  • Proficiency in Python or R, and strong SQL skills
  • Experience with APIs and data scraping
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours
