About The Position

We are seeking an AWS Architect to build and integrate software products to meet specific client needs. This role involves integrating hardware and software products for excellent performance outcomes and effectively communicating application architecture to other departments or team members to ensure the delivery of a more effective system.

What You’ll Do

• Study existing technology landscapes and understand current application workloads.
• Understand and document technical requirements from clients.
• Define migration strategies to move applications to the cloud.
• Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation, including a bill of materials with required Cloud Services (such as EC2, S3, etc.) and tools.
• Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment, encompassing server instances, storage instances, subnets, and availability zones.
• Design the AWS network architecture, including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets.
• Design High Availability (HA) / Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
• Set up processes, services, and tools around cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee the environment build-out.
• Execute cloud migration plans.
• Leverage appropriate AWS services to optimize solutions.
• Validate that the environment meets all security and compliance controls.

Expertise You’ll Bring

• Certification on AWS architecture (preferable).
• Ability to assess clients’ workloads and technology landscapes for Cloud suitability, develop business cases, and define Cloud adoption roadmaps.
• Skill in defining new architectures and driving projects from an architecture standpoint.
• Experience provisioning and spinning up AWS clusters.
• Proficiency in building scalable production systems (e.g., load balancers, Memcached, master/slave architectures).
• Deep knowledge of key AWS services like EC2, S3, and the overall AWS platform and tools.
• Awareness of best practices and market trends pertaining to cloud and the overall industry, with the ability to provide thought leadership (seminars, whitepapers, etc.) and mentor teams.
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with key stakeholders in client organizations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
