Founded in December 2022 and backed by over $1B in venture funding, our objective is to build accurate and trustworthy AI that assists decision-making. The Developer Relations Manager API Platform role is key for growing Sonar, our rapidly expanding API Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-the-ground champion for Sonar at conferences, meetups, webinars, and online forums.
  • Represent Perplexity’s cutting-edge APIs and demonstrate their capabilities to developers.
  • Create compelling narratives, demos, sample applications, and technical content.
  • Drive engagement by cultivating relationships with developers, influencers, and partners.
  • Organize community events such as meetups and hackathons to build momentum around Sonar.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to incorporate developer feedback.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or similar technical roles.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical topics and engage diverse audiences.
  • Innovative mindset with a track record of designing inspiring demos and technical content.
  • Team player who collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience in software development, API integrations and modern web technologies.

Compensation & Benefits

The base cash compensation for this role ranges from $160,000 to $210,000. Equity may also be part of the total package. Additional benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
