About The Role
We are looking for a bold and customer-obsessed Software Product Manager Desktop Applications to shape the future of PerkinElmer’s next-generation Desktop Application ecosystem. You will lead mission-critical initiatives to migrate our global customer base from legacy software to modern, high-performance platforms that power scientific discovery.
What You’ll Own
Develop and execute the product strategy for desktop applications with a strong focus on customer upgrades and lifecycle management. Build mechanisms to collect and analyze customer configurations, usage patterns, and adoption metrics. Define migration pathways that minimize operational disruption for laboratories and accelerate value realization.
- Translate customer needs into detailed requirements, user stories, and product roadmaps.
- Partner with engineering, field services, customer support, and regional teams to deliver high-impact releases.
- Measure outcomes using KPIs such as adoption, upgrade velocity, revenue unlock, and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the product externally to evangelize capabilities with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
What You Bring
A minimum of 8+ years of product management experience delivering software products end-to-end with proven success in desktop or platform software roles. Deep experience with release lifecycle, upgrade programs, or customer migration initiatives. Strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills are required.
Bonus Points
Experience with laboratory software, instrument control, healthcare, MedTech, or scientific domains. Familiarity with device connectivity, licensing systems, legacy modernization, or enterprise deployments. Demonstrated leadership in scaling adoption of complex software products.
