Summary
Peraton is seeking a Mobile Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Android-based automation infrastructure supporting multi-platform content distribution and digital engagement operations. This role is central to Peraton's development of next-generation influence messaging capabilities that leverage hybrid cloud/physical mobile architectures integrated with Peraton's agentic AI workflows (IRIS / Peraton[x]). You will build and optimize systems that manage large-scale mobile device orchestration, platform API integration, identity lifecycle management, and automated content delivery across major social media platforms. This position directly supports U.S. Combatant Command requirements for Operations in the Information Environment and positions Peraton as the market leader in scalable digital engagement technology.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop Android application components and automation frameworks that support scalable, multi-platform content distribution across social media ecosystems.
- Architect and maintain hybrid cloud/physical mobile infrastructure, including cloud-based Android emulation environments and physical device fleet management with SIM lifecycle orchestration.
- Develop and integrate anti-detection and platform compliance middleware to ensure operational persistence across platforms with varying device attestation requirements.
- Build and maintain multi-platform API gateway services supporting concurrent operations across X (Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, Facebook, and emerging platforms with appropriate rate limiting and traffic management.
- Design synthetic identity lifecycle management systems including account creation workflows, behavioral pattern engines, authenticity scoring algorithms, and persona maintenance automation.
- Develop content scheduling and queue management systems with platform-specific formatting, timing optimization, and intelligent rate limiting to maximize engagement while maintaining operational security.
- Implement network infrastructure components including residential proxy integration, VPN management, DNS obfuscation, and IP rotation services supporting geographically distributed operations.
- Integrate mobile platform capabilities with Peraton's IRIS platform and Peraton[x] agentic AI workflows to enable AI-driven orchestration of content distribution operations.
- Conduct research on evolving platform security measures, device attestation technologies, and emulator detection methods to maintain system effectiveness and inform architectural decisions.
- Produce technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and operational guides; collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI/ML engineers, infrastructure specialists, and mission analysts.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mobile Computing, or related technical discipline with 5+ years of professional experience; OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Android application development using Java and/or Kotlin with experience in the Android SDK, Android Studio, and ADB (Android Debug Bridge).
- Experience with Android emulation technologies (e.g., Genymotion, Android Virtual Device, cloud-based emulation platforms) and understanding of Android system internals.
- Proficiency in Python for automation scripting, API integration, and system orchestration.
- Experience with RESTful API design and integration, including OAuth flows, rate limiting implementation, and multi-service gateway architectures.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure concepts including proxy management, VPN configuration, DNS management, and traffic routing.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying and managing virtualized mobile environments at scale.
- Understanding of mobile device management (MDM) concepts, device provisioning, and fleet orchestration.
- U.S. citizenship is required. Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a final TS/SCI security clearance.
- Valid U.S. passport or ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mobile device fingerprinting, browser fingerprinting technologies, and platform-specific device attestation mechanisms (SafetyNet, Play Integrity API, Meta device verification).
- Familiarity with social media platform APIs, Terms of Service enforcement mechanisms, and automated account management at scale.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for managing distributed mobile emulation workloads.
- Knowledge of SIM management, telephony APIs, virtual phone number services, and SMS verification workflows.
- Experience with behavioral automation frameworks including human-like interaction patterns, timing randomization, and activity scheduling systems.
- Familiarity with residential proxy networks, IP reputation management, and geolocation spoofing techniques.
- Experience with iOS/Apple platform application development using Swift and/or Objective-C, including familiarity with Xcode, the iOS SDK, Apple Developer Program workflows, TestFlight distribution, and App Store submission processes; knowledge of iOS automation frameworks (XCTest, XCUITest) and iOS-specific device attestation mechanisms (DeviceCheck, App Attest) is highly desirable.
- Prior experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense information operations, MISO, or strategic communications programs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile application deployment and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts as applied to content optimization, engagement prediction, or anomaly detection.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.

Target Salary Range:
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
